Update on Faculty Data in the Demographics Dashboard

During the spring semester, staff within OADS have developed an updated and expanded version of the faculty data reporting in the demographics dashboard. These updates significantly expand the data available to users and the dashboard’s functionality. Specifically, the new version:

• Maintains the ability to filter by campus.
• Maintains faculty leadership data by demographic.
• Now includes five years of data (2019-2023). The previous dashboard only included one year of data. Data can be viewed by a single year or as a trend.
• Now includes race/ethnicity demographic data, in addition to gender. The previous dashboard only included gender data.
• Now includes additional faculty types: Adjunct, Emeritus, and Faculty Executive. The previous dashboard only included tenure-line and non-tenure-line faculty types.
• Now provides the ability to filter by full-time or part-time.
• Now provides the ability to filter by academic discipline.
• Now reports faculty rank information.

The updated dashboard is available online. OADS welcomes feedback on the dashboard, which can be provided via the ‘Feedback’ link in the dashboard itself.
