Gender Equity Committee

The Gender Equity Committee is committed to ensuring the equity of all faculty at Georgetown.
Georgetown’s commitment to cura personalis — care for the whole person — demands that we address the structural barriers that limit full participation based on gender. The Gender Equity Committee translates that commitment into action, working with university leadership to implement the President’s Task Force recommendations and build an institution where everyone can thrive.

Activities

The Gender Equity Committee brings together faculty from across the Georgetown University campuses to advance gender equity. The Gender Equity Committee meets regularly to assess and advance gender equity across the University.

Throughout the year, the Committee convenes working groups, gathers and analyzes data, and engages with stakeholders across Georgetown to identify priorities and opportunities for improvement. Monthly meetings are a forum for the myriad of topics that are related to gender equity across campus. Committee memos and the Gender Equity reports document progress to date, highlight ongoing initiatives, and recommend next steps to advance gender equity at Georgetown.
